- The Shipper/Receiver’s role involves the timely processing of all incoming and outgoing items. The Shipper/Receiver confirms that materials received are as ordered and routes incoming and outgoing items to applicable departments and locations. This position is for our Day Shift and requires flexibility from 9 am – 6 pm

- Process all outbound shipments including preparation of documents, verification of quantities, packing boxes/containers and arrangement of transportation methods
- Process all incoming items including unloading and unpacking of shipments, comparing information on packing slips with purchase orders, labelling and receiving inventory into Made to Manage (M2M)
- Deliver products to customers within Calgary on a daily basis and distribute items including returned and damaged products internally to requisitioning departments
- Inspect shipments for discrepancies including shortages, overages, substituted or incorrect items and damages; escalating to appropriate departments
- Maintain internal record-keeping systems
- Receive chemicals in accordance with company procedures and coordinate with waste management companies in the disposal of toxic products
- Operate pallet jack and related warehousing equipment when needed
- Assist the materials team in parts coordination functions
- Maintain safe work conditions by keeping shipping/receiving areas clean and debris free
- Participate in and adhere to DSM’s Quality, Lean, and Safety program and practices
- Grade 12 Diploma and/or previous exposure to shipping/receiving
- Excellent experience with international shipping is required
- Experience minimum 2 years and/or training in inventory and materials management is preferable
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written – able to draft emails and verbally. communicate in a clear and concise manner to internal and external customers
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
