THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining machinery and related processes to ensure printed circuit boards are assembled accurately and efficiently.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Quick, motivated learner; willingness to ask questions and train in a fast paced environment
  • Strong Communicator – Provide clear and concise information and correspondence to individuals verbally and written
  • Detail Oriented – Enjoy reading detailed engineering drawings, using verbal instructions and process documents to complete tasks step by step

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Set-up, operate and monitor of machinery and related equipment/processes
  • Troubleshoot equipment when problems arise
  • Set-up and tear down equipment
  • Clean and perform operator preventative maintenance where required
  • Perform visual inspection of boards to confirm accurate placement and polarity of components
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in an electronics environment is considered an asset
  • Experience working with machinery or Technology diploma is an asset
  • Intermediate computer skills – comfortable navigating a computer to load programs, retrieve data and respond to equipment notifications
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and short correspondence
  • Manual dexterity
  • Good time management and the ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Solid verbal communication skills, ability to communicate problems and find solutions with the team
  • Team player and a good attitude to achieve results together
  • Attention to detail
  • Available to work midnight shift and overtime
