  The Opportunity
  • We are looking for a motivated HR Generalist who has a passion for people, enjoys recruitment, and is committed to proper practices to ensure that the job is done – right! The HR Generalist will be responsible for all HR functions at our Tempe, Arizona facility. Hiring, on-boarding, and benefits administration will be a large focus. In addition to this, the HR Generalist will be working closely with management to improve people management practices, training and development, and total rewards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working within a dynamic team of people, and is great at communicating.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all full-cycle recruitment/selection and on-boarding efforts – drafting of job postings and descriptions, conducting interviews, reference checks, offer letter creation and facilitating orientation
  • Provide consultation, guidance and support on all employee relations matters
  • Manage employee benefits including day-to-day administration, communicating plan design changes and applicable training
  • Develop, support and coordinate training and development programs – conduct needs analysis, sources training, maintain training records and oversee training initiatives
  • Develop, execute and support health and safety initiatives along with ISO/Quality programs
  • Develop and deploy HR programs, policies, and procedures to support the achievement of DSM’s strategic goals and objectives
  • Participate in strategic planning with management group and project teams
  • Provide support and guidance to Supervisors and Managers for all HR related matters and activities
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in a related discipline and 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Recruitment and staffing experience is a must
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Experience working with ADP Run would be an asset
  • Self-directed and capable of performing work independently
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education:

    • Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

    • Human resources: 2 years (Preferred)
